  1. Minneapolis, MN—Getty, of course, founded the Getty Oil Company. In 1957 Fortune magazine named him the richest living American.  The 1966 Guinness Book of Records named him as the world’s richest private citizen, worth an estimated $1.2 billion (approximately $7.2 billion in 2018).
  2. Indianapolis, IN—The comedian, writer and producer was born in Indy in 1947. He grew up on the north side of Indianapolis, in the Broad Ripple area, about 12 miles from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
  3. Louisville, KY—Hornung, nicknamed The Golden Boy, was a Hall of Fame running back for the Green Bay Packers from 1957 to 1966. He played with the Packer team that won the very first Super Bowl.
