CINCINNATI, OH–When George Lucas’s sound production company Skywalker Sound needed to create a portfolio of aviation sounds for the latest blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, they turned to GE Aviation. The team headed over to GE Aviation’s Peebles Test Operation, a 7,000-acre facility in rural Ohio that has been used by GE to test engines for nearly 70 years.

World’s fastest supercomputer in Tennessee
OAK RIDGE, TN–A supercomputer at Tennessee’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory has claimed the title of world’s fastest, according to the latest Top500 ranking. The Frontier system is the first true exascale machine with an HPL score of 1.102 Exaflop/s.
