Turning waste into energy
Enexor BioEnergy, a Tennessee company that turns waste into energy, has been selected by Halliburton Co. for its new clean-tech accelerator. Enexor was the only company chosen from the Southeast.
The Michigan National Guard believes space is vital to national security. It is partnering with Ann Arbor-based Orbital Effects, which offers near-real time direct downlink of satellite radar imagery and intelligence data from space.
Minnesota-based Zipnosis, a digital front door solution for more than 50 health systems nationwide, has been named 2021’s Hottest Digital Startup from Flyover Country by Observer.com.
Launching student startups
The University of Pittsburgh is launching The Big Idea Advantage Fund, which will invest between $10,000 and $25,000 to Pitt students from freshman to post-doctorate from all parts of the university.
